Superstructure work is nearing completion at our new boutique condominium building in Harlem. The GC is currently fabricating the formwork for the roof slab, and will soon begin installing rebar in preparation to pour concrete within the next few days. Once the roof is poured, all the remains of the superstructure are the bulkheads for the egress stairways and elevator shaft. Construction is progressing at Soluri Architecture’s renovation of an apartment on West 72nd Street in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The renovation has reconfigured the apartment by expanding the master bathroom, relocating the entry to the master bedroom and enlarging the kitchen. The ceiling have been strategically dropped in a few areas to differentiate the open areas and to accommodate new LED lighting. Construction is nearing completion at the build-out of the offices for the Windish Agency in New York City’s Soho neighborhood. Finishing touches that remain to be completed include: painting, completion of the wood ceilings, cove lighting install, signage install, staining/sealing of the millwork and sealing of the concrete. Furniture is expected to begin arriving next week and move-in to the new space should occur soon afterwards.
