AI + Architecture Symposium

Please join us at the AIANY’s Center for Architecture on Saturday Dec 16 for an all day Symposium on AI + Architecture – the first major event focusing on AI at the AIA New York | Center for Architecture. Co-organized by SA principal Andre Soluri, the conference go beyond the speculative and focus on what’s actually happening now with the application of artificial intelligence to architecture, it’s practice and the profession.

The event will have an incredible roster of speakers – kicking off with a keynote by Patrik Schumacher from Zaha Hadid Architects, followed by a series of 3 panels which will include Phil Bernstein (Yale School of Architecture), Mario Carpo (The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL), Elizabeth Christoforetti (Supernormal and Harvard University Graduate School of Design), Gideon D’Arcangelo (Arup), Esther Dyson (Wellville), Kristen Forward (NBBJ Design), Andrew Heumann (Hypar), Frank Jacobus (Penn State College of Arts and Architecture), Sandra Manninger (SPAN Architecture, LLC and New York Institute of Technology), Federico Negro (Canoa), Robert Otani (Thornton Tomasetti), Juan Francisco Saldarriaga (Google), Martha Tsigkari (Foster + Partners), & Andrew Witt (Certain Measures and Harvard University Graduate School of Design)
Andre is the co-chair of the AIANY’s “Future Of Practice Committee” along with Jacob Reidel. The FOP committee is organizing the event – primarily through the efforts of Jacob, Andre and FoP members Paul Seletsky AIA and Xenia Adjoubei. Andre will moderating the day’s first panel on “Practice” where we’ll be exploring how AI is currently being developed and used in 4 trailblazing firms and what these tools what these can do.
